Following on from the heavy snow fall on Monday 21st December 2009 - which turned out to be the AA's busiest day in 10 years with roadside assistance patrols attending over 20,000 breakdowns - Volvo is urging drivers to get their cars checked to help ensure they are not left stranded by the roadside this winter.
For only £30, Volvo will give the car a 25-point inspection to check systems including the steering, suspension and shock absorbers, handbrake adjustment and operation and coolant and antifreeze strength, are all running at optimal performance. The Volvo Winter Check takes around 30 minutes to complete and the Volvo dealer will even clean the car inside and out and give away a free ice scraper3.
Volvo customers who regularly use the Volvo dealer network for service and maintenance can have the reassurance that all the checks form part of the Volvo Service Programme and would have been carried out at their last service.
