The Bora, Volkswagen’s compact saloon, is offering even greater value for money in time for the March ‘04’ registration with retailer offers and the introduction of a new model, the Highline.
Following the success of the Passat Highline, this new Bora model is based on the SE, yet offers a range of enticing extras for very little additional cost.
The Highline, which goes on sale on 16 February, is visually distinct from other Boras thanks to its 16" ‘Montreal II’ alloy wheels, previously unavailable in the range. And it’s luxurious too: as well as the alloy wheels, the Highline has the following items of equipment fitted as standard over the SE: full leather upholstery, heated front sports seats and parking sensors
The total value of these extras comes to over £2,000, yet the premium for the Highline over the SE is just £150. This is particularly impressive in light of the already-generous specification of the SE, which includes: air conditioning; four airbags; ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Programme); ABS; front and rear electric windows; electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors; multifunction steering wheel with cruise control; auto-dimming rear view mirror; rain-sensor wipers; and remote central locking with alarm.
But that’s not all: participating Volkswagen retailers are offering £1,200 off all S, SE and Highline models, and £1,400 off Sport and V5 models, until the end of March.
With the introduction of the Highline, the ST trim level is deleted from the Bora range in order to simplify choice for the customer.
