As part of a range of improvements in its 25th anniversary year, Windrush is making major changes to its Maidenhead Volkswagen dealership.
To accommodate Volkswagen’s ever-expanding model range, which now includes the luxury Phaeton and Touareg models, the long-established Maidenhead Bridge site in the Bath Road will become a dedicated showroom and sales facility. This will be supported by a brand-new hi-tech aftermarket operation currently taking shape in nearby Howarth Road, immediately behind the Stafferton Way post office. The new facility will open for business in October.
“We invested a considerable amount in improving the service facilities at Maidenhead Bridge, but it became increasingly clear we were never going to have the space we now need,” says Dealer Principal Tim Attwood. “By splitting the service and sales operations in this way, we will immediately gain the operating room we require for the foreseeable future.”
Easily reached from the M4, Maidenhead mainline station and the town centre, the new aftermarket premises will feature superb facilities and comforts, of a standard not previously attainable. Parking – a major problem in so much of Maidenhead – will be available for no less than 40 vehicles, and customers will enter the new facility via a bright, airy reception area. Those who wish to wait for their vehicles can transfer upstairs to the fully equipped, ‘Club Class’ lounge, complete with free Wi-Fi, Internet access and refreshments.
The new workshop will have five more bays than were available at Maidenhead Bridge, including work areas designated specifically for MOT tests and four-wheel alignment, making 16 in total. This will greatly increase the capacity to deal with all models, and Phaetons and Touaregs in particular. For Volkswagen models past their third birthday, owners can take advantage of the Windrush 3 Year Plus Club discount scheme.
More good news for Berkshire Volkswagen ownersIt’s a busy summer for Windrush, as the company is also undertaking an impressive redevelopment of its 1.2-acre, Farnham Road, Slough facility. The workshop is doubling in size and the showroom and external parking area are being extended.
Concludes Tim Attwood, “We’re very excited by the developments taking place at both our branches and are confident that our customers will be very pleased with the results.”
