Volkswagen has introduced a new top of the range Touareg model – the ‘R-Line’ priced from £44,025.
The Touareg R-Line takes the Altitude model and adds and additional £4,000 of equipment for a premium of £750.
Standard equipment across all of the Touareg line-up includes leather upholstery, a satellite navigation and audio system with eight-inch full-colour touchscreen, DAB, Bluetooth and MDI multi-device interface for iPods, 2Zone climate control, a Stop/Start system and battery regeneration, to help maximise fuel efficiency.
The Touareg R-Line trim adds 20-inch ‘Tarragona’ alloy wheels with 275/45 R20 tyres, unique front and rear bumpers and side skirts complimented with R-Line badges on the front wings. There are bi-xenon headlights with dynamic curve lighting and LED daytime running lights, LED rear lights and number-plate lights.
On the inside there are bespoke R-Line sill plates, a full-length panoramic electric sliding glass sunroof, keyless entry and start and an electrically powered tailgate.
The Touareg R-Line is available with a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine mated to a an eight-speed automatic gearbox with a choice of two power outputs, 204 PS for £44,025 or 245 PS, for £45,645.
