The Volkswagen Sharan has undergone a light make over for 2015 with prices now starting at £26,300. It is available to order now with the first of the new MPVs being set to be delivered in October.
The seven-seater Sharan was first introduced in 1995 and since then has undergone a number of makeovers and model changes. The current model was introduced in 2010, and now with this incumbent all engines are now Euro6 compliant.
There is a choice of four engines, one petrol and three diesels with power outputs between 115 and 184 PS. The entry-level Sharan is powered by a 2.0-litre TDI with 115 PS which is available in S trim only. There is a petrol 1.4-litre TSI and a 2.0-litre TDI, both with 150 PS; and a 2.0-litre TDI with 184 PS. There is a choice of six-speed manual or six-speed DSG transmissions available on all models bar the 115 PS TDI unit.
At launch the New Volkswagen Sharan comprises three trim levels, S, SE and SEL.
Standard equipment now includes second generation colour touchscreen MIB infotainment systems, Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, Bluetooth phone connection and three-zone Climatronic air conditioning.
The SE model gains on the above spec -with chrome roof rails and tinted rear glass, front and rear parking sensors and cruise control.
The SEL comes with Front Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control, panoramic sunroof, Alcantara upholstery and Discover Navigation with CarNet Guide and Inform.
An SE Navigation model will join the above line up - adding Discover Navigation with CarNet Guide and Inform to the SE spec for an additional £675.
