Volkswagen Passat R-line (2013)

Volkswagen has introduced the R-line to the Passat line-up with prices starting at £22,470 for the 1.4-litre TSI 160 PS BMT 6spd manual saloon rising to £26,385 for the 2.0-litre TDI 140 PS BMT 6spd DSG estate. You can place your order now with an expected delivery date in June 2013.

The exterior features a bespoke bodykit with a front bumper which includes fog lights with cornering function whilst at the rear a bootlid spoiler (tailgate spoiler on the Estate). There are standard bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights.

There is -lowered sports suspension (by 15 mm) and rides on 18-inch ‘Kansas' alloy wheels shod with low-profile 235/40 tyres. 

On the inside the Volkswagen Passat R-line is based on the ‘S’ version’s trim and includes Bluetooth, USB and iPod connectivity, DAB digital radio and a leather-trimmed multifunction steering wheel (with gearshift paddles on DSG models).

There is the choice of two diesel units, a 1.6-litre 105 PS TDI diesel engine with six-speed manual gearbox, or a 2.0-litre 140 PS TDI diesel engine with six-speed manual or DSG gearbox. There is a petrol turbocharged and supercharged 1.4-litre 160 PS TSI engine with either six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG gearboxes.  All Passat R-Line models feature BlueMotion Technology modifications with Stop/Start and battery regeneration systems.
