The Volkswagen cross up! concept is a combination of the five door up! and SUV styling cues, such as 15mm raised suspension, additional doors and the C-pillar styling. The five-door, the shoulder line and windows form a straight line to create a more upright appearance.
The Volkswagen cross up! features wheel arches, side sill extensions and the black protection strips above the sills are similar to those found on the last-generation Volkswagen Polo Dune. The design features give an overall rugged look to the Volkswagen cross up!. The front air intake has also been modified, with a larger honeycomb grille.
Silver-coloured underbody protection is present at the front and rear of the Volkswagen cross up!. The front and rear bumpers benefit from a silver cross-bar. Other features include matt silver roof rails, silver door mirror caps and Tornado Red body paint and 16 inch alloy wheels.
The red colour is carried to the interior; the seats have red centre panels, the dashboard panel and upper door trim panels are the same Tornado Red. The bezels of the air nozzles and the center console are finished in black piano paint. The steering wheel, gearlever and handbrake are all wrapped in leather with coloured seams.
