Volkswagen BlueMotion Technology products will soon be hitting the road visiting a number of shows and exhibitions, to get the nation to "Think Blue" and encourage learning about innovations and technologies which help to cut the cost of motoring.
The Gadget Show Live, the Ideal Home Show in Glasgow and Gardeners' World Live are all on the list for a Volkswagen BlueMotion visit, and will include an interactive touchscreen experience and riding the 'rollercoaster' which takes visitors on a journey of discovery into the innovations which reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
Some of Volkswagen's BlueMotion vehicles will be on show, showing that just because they are "green" doesn't mean they won't act like a "normal" car. For example, the Volkswagen Golf BlueMotion has the same safety and technology features as a standard Golf, is conventional to drive, service and maintain and yet fuel consumption on the combined cycle is 74.3 mpg, with emissions of 99 g/km which makes it exempt from VED and the London Congestion Charge.
