The new Volkswagen Amarok on sale since last month, has won the Pick-up category in the British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards.
Volkswagen was also named overall Manufacturer of the Year for the second consecutive year. Awards also went to the Volkswagen Sharan, the Tiguan and the Volkswagen Phaeton, which took the title of best Luxury car.
The British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards aim to recognise and bring attention to the best vehicle security on the newest cars on the market. To be included for the awards, the vehicle must have five stars for 'theft from', have double locking, and an 'E' insurance rating, which indicates they exceed the required standard.
"Security is particularly important for our customers as they depend on their vehicles for their business," said Simon Elliott, Director, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
"These awards are another demonstration of our commitment to enhancing our vehicles and reducing the cost of ownership for commercial vehicle owners," he continued.
