In readiness for the summer holidays Vauxhall is expanding its already extensive range of motoring accessories with a host of new products designed to complement every lifestyle.
From practical aids to make family motoring in the Zafira even more comfortable to top down sporting holidays in the Astra Convertible, there is a greater choice of accessories than ever before.
Zafira owners can now hitch their MPV up to a caravan with a fixed tow bar that does not need any bumper modifications or replacement of rear springs. When combined with 12N electrics, it is priced at just £210, or £280 with 12N and 12S electrics.
A pair of towing mirrors designed specifically for the Zafira cost £78, while seat covers for the Zafira’s third row of seats are now available to avoid excessive wear and dirt on these folding seats. Made in anthracite and grey fabric, these stretch covers are washable and waterproof. They are priced at £40.
The manufacturer’s range of child seats now includes a Vauxhall-Fix 3-in-one child seat in Tonga grey fabric to fit all Astra models, plus Vectra, Omega, Zafira and Agila. The seat is suitable for all stages of child growth from birth to 12 years.
From birth to 10kg it is used in a rearward facing position. From 10kg to 15kg it faces forward with a safety table, while from 15kg to 25kg it is used forward facing with the normal seat belt. From 25kg upwards it can be converted to a booster seat. The 3-in-one child seat costs £179.
At the other end of the lifestyle spectrum, the Astra Convertible can now be used for mountain biking or skiing holidays with the aid of a boot-mounted base carrier at £120, to which either a bike carrier at £78 or four pair skis carrier at £63 can be fitted.
A detachable towing hitch is introduced for the Astra Coupé to enhance the model’s versatility for camping or caravanning holidays. This hitch features a removable coupling ball and when combined with 12N electrics is priced at £270.
Music on the move fans will welcome the extra security offered by a mobile CD storage box, which can be stored in various pockets in all Vauxhall cars and MPVs. Holding up to 12 CDs, the box can be easily removed when leaving the car to prevent theft. It costs £15.
When the summer really warms up, an electric coolbag could be the perfect country picnic accessory. Designed to keep food and drinks cool and fresh, it stows neatly in the boot and plugs into the auxiliary power socket. The price is £85.
For owners who need a little more carrying capacity, Vauxhall has now slashed the price of its roof-mounted Traveller Box from £280 to £229 and its Sport Box from £208 to £169.
