Vauxhall’s hugely successful Astra range moves into its fifth generation next spring and the company has just unveiled the first pictures.
First on the market will be the five-door hatchback to be followed by the estate and a sporty three-door.
The dynamically styled car includes many new features, such as the AFL (Adaptive Forward Lighting) headlamp system, being offered for the first time in the Astra-size segment, and the adaptive suspension system IDSPlus (Interactive Driving System) with Continuous Damping Control (CDC).ECO-Speedster - The Record Breaker

Using the brand new 1.3 CDTi diesel engine, which will make its debut in the Corsa in September, an average of 140.7 mph was reached returning a respectable 31.4 mpg and a maximum speed of 160.2 mph was achieved.
