Always at the forefront of safe transportation for children, Vauxhall is rounding out its model range with the launch of Isofix seats for the new Vectra and Corsa.

Availability for the company’s newest models means that parents can rest easy in the knowledge that there is now a state-of-the-art fixed child seat to fit every Vauxhall.

The importance of securing children safely and comfortably on every journey cannot be overstated. Statistics show that unsecured children have a seven times greater risk of suffering severe injury in an accident, while 83 per cent of safely secured children are unharmed in a crash.

Now customers can provide their children with the highest levels of protection by specifying an Isofix child seat when they place their order for their new Vectra or Corsa. Securely fixed to the vehicle body, the Isofix seat is lighter and more comfortable than previous designs.

It has clips that lock the child seat into the permanently mounted Isofix bracket during installation and an integrated transponder to disable the airbag when fitted to the front passenger seat.

Suitable for children from birth up to 18 kg weight, the seat has an integrated cradle for babies, washable covers and can be quickly and easily installed on the rear or front seat.

A baby cradle with integrated electronic transponder is also available for the new Vectra and Corsa, plus the Astra, Zafira and Omega.

Used in conjunction with Vauxhall’s intelligent seat occupancy detection system fitted as an optional extra to all these models (standard on the Omega and Vectra Elite), the baby cradle’s transponder prevents airbag deployment when installed on the front passenger seat. The baby cradle comes with a washable cover and carrying handle.

Owners of selected Vauxhall vehicles can have the Vauxhall-Fix system retrofitted for use with Vauxhall-Fix child seats, which are available from Vauxhall dealers throughout the UK.
