Vauxhall have confirmed production of the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer, based on the Zafira Tourer Concept, previewed at this year's Geneva Motor Show.
The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer's wheelbase and track are increased over the standard Zafira model, which will improve the ride and stability of the car. The wheelbase is 57mm larger, at 2760mm, whilst the front tracks are 96mm wider at 1584mm and 78mm wider at the rear, at 1588mm.
The front axle is borrowed from the Vauxhall Insignia which sees an isolated sub-frame and MacPherson struts. The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer uses a similar compound crank rear axle to the standard Zafira, but adds a Watt's link, a unique set-up in the MPV class.
Vauxhall's FlexRide adaptive damping system will be an option. The FlexRide system automatically adapt damping depending on road conditions, cornering speeds, vehicle movement and the driver's style. Three driving modes are available for selection, Standard, Tour and Sport.Vauxhall Zafira Tourer Safety Features
