The Vauxhall Insignia is now available with the 1.6-litre ‘Whisper Diesel’ engine, which replaces the 2.0-litre diesel units.
The 1.6 CDTi (136PS) ecoFLEX edition is capable of 74.3 mpg (NEDC data) with emissions of 99 g/km. Performance figures indicate a top speed of 130 mph with a benchmark 0-60 mph time of 10.9 seconds. These figures are for models fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels with ultra-low rolling resistance tyres (Design, SE, Tech Line and SRi models only).

Where standard the Navi 900 IntelliLink system now has Apple CarPlay functionality that allows iPhone connectivity allowing access to the phones apps via an eight-inch colour touchscreen. Plus IntelliLink allows audio and video (when stationary) streaming to the car, will read text messages out aloud and voice control.
