Vauxhall is opening its Heritage Centre in order to mark the 'Drive it day' Celebrations of Classic Car motoring on Sunday 17th April 2011 between 10am and 4pm.
The day, organised by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs, sets out to encourage classic car owners to take their car out on the road to celebrate classic motoring. Vauxhall is asking all and any classic car owners to visit their Heritage Centre to help celebrate the day.
Enthusiasts will be given the opportunity to view Vauxhall's collection of over 50 cars which stretch from back present day to the 1900s.
Drive it Day represents the classic vehicle movement in the UK – 64 cars set off from London back in April 1900 the first day of the Thousand Mile Trial – owners are encouraged to drive their cars, anything old or interesting, and take to the road for one day demonstrating the enthusiasm for classics and showing just how many classics are still on the road today.
The Vauxhall Heritage Centre is based in Park Street, Luton, behind the main Griffin House headquarters in Osborne Road. For people travelling to the event using SatNav, the postcode for the Vauxhall Heritage Centre is LU1 3YT.
