Vertu Motors plc is investing millions of pounds in a new Vauxhall centre in Chingford. Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu Motors and Duncan Aldred, Managing Director of Vauxhall Motors attended the laying of the foundations to cut the first sod in the development of the new Bristol Street Motors site.

Robert Forrester said: "We are delighted to extend our partnership with Vauxhall through the development of the Chingford dealership. This investment demonstrates our confidence in this partnership and the Bristol Street Motors business model and our commitment to investing in local economies and creating full-time sustainable employment opportunities."

Duncan Aldred added: "We are very pleased to extend our partnership with Bristol Street Motors by jointly developing a new Vauxhall Brand Centre in Chingford. I am confident that, together, we will be able to brave tough market conditions building on the mutual strength of our brands and on our expertise in automotive retailing. I am particularly excited about our upcoming world class product portfolio and look forward to sharing this momentum with Vertu Motors."

The 650 square metre showroom in Chingford is designed to house 12 Vauxhall vehicles. The site will employ 75 staff and will follow carbon reduction initiatives including easily accessible EV charging bays and 20% of the energy required will be provided by on site generated renewable energy.
