The Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition will be available in UK showrooms this month.
Powered by a re-worked version of the Vauxhall Corsa VXR's 1.6 turbocharged engine, the Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition produces 205PS (up from 192PS) at 5750rpm and 250-280Nm of torque (increased from 230-266Nm). The power increases come from modified engine management and turbocharger system, sports exhaust with reduced back pressure and the ability to run on 98-octane fuel. 0-60mph is achieved in 6.5 seconds, on to a top speed of 143mph.
The Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition's chassis has received its final sign off at the Nurburgring's North Loop. Blistein has been commissioned to develop bespoke spring and damper units for the new model, offering the driver more control and involvement. The ride height has been reduced 20mm at the front and 15mm at the rear.
New Brembo brakes are 30% lighter than previously, and now feature high-performance brake linings which cover a 10 per cent larger area. The ABS, Traction Control and Electronic Stability Control systems have been recalibrated for the Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition.
Exterior design highlights include a stainless steel dual exhaust, newly designed forged aluminium wheels in high-gloss grey, and 'Nurburgring' logos on the B-Pillars and front spoiler lip. Two new colours are available for the Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition: apple green 'Grasshopper' and red 'Henna'.
Red and black 'Nurburgring' lettering features on the sill plates and front Recaro seat backs, with white stitching on all seats, handbrake and gearshift console.
The Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition is now available for £22,295.
