The all-new British built Vauxhall Astra will go on sale priced from £15,295 with the first cars arriving with dealers in October 2015.
Engines will include the 1.0-litre three-cylinder Turbo Start/Stop ecoFLEX model priced from £15,995 which when coupled to the Easytronic five-speed automatic transmission emissions are recorded at 96g/km.
The diesel line up will include the 1.6-litre 'Whisper Diesel' (110PS) Start/Stop ecoFLEX model which according to NEDC data is capable of 91.1mpg and with CO2 emissions of 82g/km.
There is the choice of Design, Tech Line, Energy, SRi and Elite, with Nav versions of the SRi and the top of the range Elite trims from launch.
