High-quality solutions to computer and IT problems are the speciality of CPW Computing. But now the Needham Market company has also found a way of making a small business fleet more eco-friendly and cheaper to run at the same time – by going all-Toyota.
The company had previously used one Toyota Avensis, along with a small van and an estate car of other makes, to serve its East Anglian territory, and to take its technical staff further afield when required.
For 2008 it has replaced all three vehicles. Among the replacements is a top-of-the-range Toyota Avensis T180 saloon, powered by a 2.2-litre D-4D diesel engine. This will be used mainly by CPW Computing’s technical director, who covers up to 40,000 miles a year. The other new Toyotas are an Avensis Tourer T2 2.0-litre diesel estate, big enough to take the equipment such as ladders required for network installations, and an Auris T3 1.4-litre diesel five-door hatchback, for smaller call-outs and for use as a pool car. All three vehicles are finished in smart metallic Decuma Grey, and were supplied by Ipswich Toyota.
“Our main reason for choosing Toyota was the green aspect, with their low CO2 emissions and the fact that they are very good in terms of miles per gallon,” said CPW Computing’s Christine Lock. “At the same time the cars provide the sort of performance we want.
“Toyota offered us an attractive leasing package that covers just about everything but the petrol, and it’s very good value.” The cars are supplied on a three-year contract hire agreement through Toyota Financial Services.
CPW Computing has been in operation for eight years, originally based in Colchester before moving to Needham Market three years ago. “We’re very hot on customer service, and as long as we know we can do something well, we’ll do it,” says Christine Lock.
