Suzuki's market share in June, 2002 showed another year on year increase despite the first decline in the new car market for 20 consecutive months.
Overall, in the first six months of this year, Suzuki's sales have yet again grown steadily and now total 17,716 units, with the Company's year-to-date share of the car market now standing at 1.2%.
Sales of all products, passenger cars, 4x4s and light commercial vehicles, have all improved in the period and the Company is on target to achieve its overall goal for 2002 of around 34,000 unit sales.
Specifically, sales achievements for the January to June period in 2002 compared to the same six months in 2001, are:
