Suzuki Joins The Scrappage Scheme

Suzuki GB PLC is pleased to announce that it will join the scrappage scheme from 18th May 2009 and the entire range will be included. Existing 0% APR finance offers on the Suzuki Swift, Suzuki Splash, Suzuki SX4 and Suzuki Grand Vitara models will continue until the end of June 2009.

Apart from a new Suzuki Alto being available for just 34,795 under the scheme as an outright purchase; Suzuki is offering a very attractive proposition for lower mileage customers currently running an older vehicle who may have never considered a new car before. The Driveplan Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) scheme on the Suzuki Alto requires no further deposit if you trade in your old model and monthly payments are just £89 for an SZ2 or £99 for an SZ3 with air conditioning and pollen filter.

Even the entry-level Suzuki Alto SZ2 model is well specified with four airbags, electric front windows, remote central locking and ISOFIX child seat anchorage points; proving that an inexpensive City car need not be lacking in safety or specification.

Cost of ownership on the Suzuki Alto is very low as it qualifies for £35 Annual road tax with a combined fuel consumption of 64.2mpg, and enjoys an insurance grouping of just 1E (2E for the top specification SZ4 with manual or optional Automatic transmission)

Towards the top of the Suzuki range, the Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.9 DDiS five-door is now available at participating dealers for just £13,500 under the scrappage scheme together with the three years 0% finance currently on offer; representing a customer saving of a very significant £4,000 on the list price. The stylish and versatile compact SUV has a combined fuel consumption of a respectable 39.2mpg and emissions of 191g/km - comparatively low for this type of vehicle.

Other scrap eligible models in the range include the highly popular Suzuki Swift Supermini, available from £6,750 as an outright purchase or for a down payment of only £625 with zero per cent finance, payable over two years. Customers looking for more space but still within a compact and clean footprint can opt for a Suzuki SX4 1.6 GL; available from just £8,990, or with a 50 per cent deposit, payable over two years under the interest free finance scheme.
