Suzuki GB PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of another new franchise to its dealer network, bringing the total number of dealers to 148.
The new dealership, Whitequay Suzuki, is situated on the Faraday Road in Newbury and is ideally situated to ensure local customers can easily get to their nearest showroom to find out more about Suzuki's stylish and fun to drive product range.
This latest addition to the Suzuki network will be fully operational from Monday 23rd November 2009 and opens for business just three months after six new dealers were simultaneously added for the brand.
Whitequay has grown from a single franchise in 1991 to a three strong dealer group based at Newbury, Reading and Southampton and currently sell around 2,000 new and used cars each year. The new Suzuki premises are able to offer new and approved used car sales as well as a comprehensive after sales facility with servicing workshop and MOT testing facility.
Suzuki offers a wide range of cars including the highly successful Suzuki Swift, SX4, Jimny Compact 4X4 and Grand Vitara models as well as the recently launched Suzuki Alto which is one of the lowest emitting 5-door petrol cars on sale at just 103g/km. Alto has a combined fuel economy of 64mpg and costs just £35 per year in road tax.
Suzuki also has three other low emission (120g/km or less) vehicles in its range which are proving very popular as customers look to make cost savings where they can in today's current economic climate.
Commenting on the new opening, Dale Wyatt, General Manager of Dealer Development, Suzuki GB, said: "This significant new addition to the Suzuki network highlights our commitment to the future growth of the business. Whitequay has an established and very good reputation in the South and we look forward to a long and productive relationship with them."
