Replacing the Alto the new Celerio city car from Suzuki goes on sale in February 2015 priced from £7,999.
The Celerio is powered at launch by a 1.0-litre petrol engine delivering 68PS from its three cylinders. According to NEDC data it is capable of 65.7 mpg on the combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 99 g/km. By the summer it will feature a new Dualjet engine which Suzuki claim 78.4 mpg and emissions of 84 g/km.
In summer they will also introduce robotized automatic/manual gearbox that features an Intelligent Shift Control Actuator positioned at the top of the transmission that operates the gearshift and clutch automatically. It promises all the easy of an automatic with low speed creep but without the impact on fuel economy or emissions.
The Suzuki Celerio is available from launch in two trim grades, ‘SZ3’ (£7,999) and the ‘SZ4’ (£8,999).
The Celerio SZ3 highlight equipment comprises six airbags (Driver, passenger, side and curtain), ESP, air conditioning, alloy wheels, DAB Radio, CD Tuner, USB, Bluetooth connectivity and remote central locking.
The SZ4 adds to the SZ3 specification with polished alloy wheels, rear electric windows, front fog lamps, body coloured door mirrors and chrome front grille.
