Subaru And Isuzu Launch Prestige Daily Rental Scheme

Subaru Rental Launched

Discerning daily rental customers can now select from a wide range of all-wheel drive Subaru models or even the new Isuzu Rodeo pickup, headed by the luxury-spec lifestyle Denver.

The dealer-based scheme is similar to that of several other prestige manufacturers who have spotted a pent-up demand for upmarket daily rental vehicles.

Initially piloted by seven Subaru and Isuzu dealers, the six-month trial will eventually be extended to 20-plus sites.

Subaru models covered include the new Legacy and Outback, sport-utility Forester and selected Imprezas excluding the WRX and STi.

All Isuzu Rodeo pickups are on offer, giving customers a wide choice of 4x2 and 4x4 Single Cab or Double Cab workhorses.

The pilot dealers were appointed from volunteers and offer a wide geographic spread from as far apart as Plymouth in South West England and Ayr in Scotland.

"It allows dealers to increase the number of cars on offer and can even be used as an extended test drive for some potential customers," said National Used Car And Fleet Sales Manager, Harvey France.

He added: "I am sure some dealers will reimburse the rental costs should the customer go ahead and purchase the same model.

"It also means dealers can offer the same make of car should a customer’s Subaru or Isuzu be off the road because of accident damage, for example."

Daily rental costs are based on the local market place and each dealer will be supported by extensive signage and promotional literature.

The Subaru Rental and Isuzu Rental schemes are supported by Network Automotive Management who will look after training and infrastructure, with Automotive Insurance Management taking care of all vehicle insurance matters.
