The revised Subaru XV goes on sale this month, with a starting price of £21,995.
Subaru have reworked the chassis to improve ride and handling - and have upgraded the interior including a new factory-fit infotainment system.
Still retaining Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive powertrain, the front and rear suspension has been modified to improve body roll and refinement. The steering set up sees a 10% quicker steering ratio with lock to lock being accomplished in 2.8 turns.
There have been revisions to the sound deadening and to the under body cover plus thicker glass on the side front windows to improve on board comfort, resulting in a 1dB reduction under acceleration and at high speeds.
The interior has been revised including a new LCD instrument binnacle and the inclusion of a new 7.0-inch touchscreen display with a smartphone inspired interface. Depending on the smartphone, connectivity and control can be routed through the system plus you can add compatible apps including traffic and weather reports.
There is voice control allowing hands free operation for the climate control, audio and navigation systems. There are even two USB sockets, so you can charge and listen to music at the same time, should you wish. It also includes a reversing camera offering 160 degree field of view from the rear, perfect to align up to horse boxes, etc.
