Currently the WRX STI is available from Subaru for £26,995 for a delivery mileage - pre-registered car, a saving of around £6,000 over the list price. Which means with Subaru’s latest finance offers you can finance an STI for under £300 a month – subject to status and deposits, etc.
You can upgrade the engine to 340PS for an extra £1,599 – the 340R power upgrade can be retro fitted and is available along with 320R upgrade over the standard 300PS model.
The WRX STI 340R produces 340PS and 490Nm of torque – an increase of 40PS and 83Nm over the standard WRX STI, which means 0-62 mph in 4.7 seconds – 0.5 seconds quicker than the standard car. Plus there is also even stronger in-gear acceleration as a result of the improved torque.
The 340R power upgrade features different ECU settings to allow the 2.5-litre horizontally-opposed, four-cylinder Boxer engine to produce more power, while airflow has improved as a result of a new exhaust system, which also provides drivers with a hair rising soundtrack and the iconic Subaru burble.
