The all-new 2013 Subaru Forester which is set to go on sale in the UK from the summer of next year, has been awarded five-stars in the latest Euro NCAP tests.
The new Forrester scored an adult occupant rating of 91%, child occupant 91%; pedestrian 73% and safety assist 86%, which overall is an impressive rating. This compares to the Hyundai Santa Fe SUV which also was recently tested – which scored an adult occupant rating of 96%, child occupant 89%; pedestrian 71% and safety assist 86% - so the Forrester is up there with the best in category.
The Subaru XV was tested earlier in the year, scoring overall five-stars broken down into an adult occupant rating of 86%, child occupant 90%; pedestrian 64% and safety assist 86%.
This goes to proves that Subaru are taking the issue of road and pedestrian safety seriously with some excellent results for their range of all-wheel drive SUV vehicles.
