The New Subaru Forester Prices (2013)

The new Subaru Forester goes on sale on the 1st May 2013 priced from £24,995 for the entry-level 2.0D X model.

As with all Subaru models, bar the BRZ sports coupe the Forester benefits from AWD (4x4). The new Forester has a larger footprint than its predecessor, it is 2mm taller, 15mm wider, and 35mm longer, with a 25mm longer wheelbase which equates to more cabin space and cargo carrying capability. The top grade XT model now has a powered tailgate.

There is a choice of three power plants, a 2.0D litre (147PS) diesel and a normal aspirated 2.0i litre (150PS) and an all-new turbo charged 2.0DIT litre (240PS) unit. The 2.0D and 2.0i engines come with a new six-speed manual gearbox, with the option of Lineartronic CVT automatic box on 2.0i, which is standard on 240ps DIT engine.

The Lineartronic CVT transmission models are equipped with shift and a custom driving mode system, Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-Drive), which allows drivers to choose between different driving modes to match road conditions. It also comes with X-Mode which is Subaru’s new All-Wheel-Drive control system that includes Hill Descent Control with improved traction over the older model.

There is a choice of six trim levels, ‘X’, ‘XC’, ‘XC Premium’ for diesel models and ‘XE’ and ‘XE Premium’ for the 2.0i petrol and for the 2.0DIT litre there is only on spec, ‘XT’.

The new Subaru Forester is protected by a five-year, 100,000 mile warranty, plus a 12-year anti-corrosion guarantee.
