Cross Roads Subaru, based in warwickshire, has been named "Sales Team of the Year" at the 2011 Motor Trader Awards.

The Grosvenor House Hotel in London hosted the ceremony, where the Cross Roads Subaru team collected the award. More than 1000 key automotive industry figures attended the Motor Trader magazine-run event.

The category was was open to all franchised and independent dealerships across the UK. Cross Roads Subaru was noted for its "innovative sales programme" and "genuine team work". In February, the team were also named "Sales Team of the Year" at the Automotive Management Awards.

Dealer Principal, Jon Mathers, said: "It is an honour to be recognised by Motor Trader magazine as the 'Sales Team of the Year'. This unparalleled performance wouldn't have been possible without the investment from Subaru UK and the hard work of our dedicated sales team.

"Once again, we have shown that a small niche dealership can topple far larger dealer groups, by focusing on customers' needs and employing the very best salespeople in the business," Mathers added.

Curtis Hutchinson, Editor of Motor Trader magazine commented: "Cross Roads Subaru's approach impressed our judges, with 42% of new car enquiries and 70% of test drives being converted into sales. This success rate can be attributable to its investment in an off-road demonstration track within a couple of miles of the dealership."
