Subaru and Daihatsu have increased their dealer representation in Suffolk following the appointment of the Hammond Group at Halesworth.
Subaru are well ahead of their goal of 100 dealers, with 11 new appointments so far this year and a further eight potential representatives in the pipeline. Daihatsu continue to stride ahead towards their goal of 140 dealers, signing up eight new dealers so far this year with 16 potentials waiting in the wings.
Family-owned Hammond Group first opened its doors more than 46 years ago and together with their 250 staff, have established excellent relationships with their existing franchises, including Isuzu (UK) Limited – a sister company of Subaru and Daihatsu.
Subaru and Daihatsu will take pride of place in a new, purpose-built showroom and more than 40 employees, whose passion and product knowledge is second to none, will be on hand to help.
Lawrence Good, Managing Director, Subaru (UK) Ltd said: “The reason for our success in attracting high quality, skilled and enthusiastic new dealers is simple; the Subaru range offers tremendous sales potential, with strong technical and managerial support. Set-up costs are sensible, with many aftersales and servicing opportunities.”
Paul Tunnicliffe, Managing Director, Daihastu Vehicle Distributors Ltd said: “With ever-increasing fuel costs and tighter budgets, the Daihatsu range of low-polluting and economical compact cars is winning new converts.”
Derek Hammond, Managing Director, Hammond Group, said: “We believe we are opening the business from a position of strength. Our reputation throughout East Anglia is strong and our exceptional aftersales department will go hand-in-hand with these well respected brands.”
“Our revamped website will also be up and running by the end of the year and will encompass the new brands, plus on-line parts shops.”
