Subaru has confirmed it will attend the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power between 15th and 17th July 2011, where it will showcase the limited edition Subaru Cosworth Impreza STI CS400.
Former British Rally Champion, Mark Higgins, who recently set the production road car lap for the Isle of Man TT circuit in a Subaru WRXC STI, will drive the Subaru Cosworth Impreza STI.
The 400PS Cosworth-tuned Subaru Cosworth Impreza STI will compete will a number of supercars, including the Ariel Atom V8, Lamborghini LP570-4 Performante, McLaren MP4-12C and Noble M600.
Mark will attempt to beat the 62.86 second lap record which was set last year by a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera LP570-4, in front of over 50,000 spectators attending the three day event.
Visitors will also be able to get up close to two Subaru Cosworth Impreza STI CS400s, which feature lightweight Pro-Race 18 inch alloy wheels, AP Racing six-pot brake callipers and a Cosworth-branded interior.
Marketing Director of Subaru UK, Kenyon Neads, said: "The Cholmondeley Pageant of Power is a perfect platform for us to showcase this collaborative effort from two of the big names in automotive performance - Subaru and Cosworth. The circuit record will be tough to match, but we’re confident that the CS400 will take the fight to the supercar elite."
The limited edition Subaru Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 is available from subaru dealers with a price of £49,995.
