A new Managing Director for Subaru UK has been appointed in readiness for a busy launch period which will see new models launched over the coming 12 months including entries into new vehicle segments which are new for the Brand.
Darren James, 41,has been appointed as Managing Director Subaru (UK) from his previous role as Director Parts and Service and has been with the company for more than 20 years.
Before being responsible for the Parts and Service team from 2010, Darren was responsible for the imports operation from 2006 before being appointed as Logistics Director in 2008.
Darren said: "I am enormously excited by the opportunity of steering the Subaru UK business in what promises to be a new phase for the Brand.
"We have some immediate challenges to face but we have some great opportunities ahead of us too with a number of new vehicles to launch, a fantastic dealer network and terrific Brand loyalty among our customers."
Darren replaces Paul Tunnicliffe from 1st August 2011, who has been appointed as the newly created UK Operations Director, where he will head up each of the three International Motors Group franchises at board level as well as taking on responsibility for IM Group functions including dealer development, distribution and after-sales.
