During September 2011, Skoda has seen its most successful month to date, with more new cars being sold than ever before.
Over Skoda 7000 cars were purchased during September 2011, which also saw the arrival of the 61 registration plate, representing a 30% increase over the same period in 2010. Skoda has not seen sales reach that figure since Volkswagen Group took control in 1991. 2800 Skoda Octavias were sold, the most popular model.
More than 3500 cars were delivered to business users in September. This year, fleet registrations have exceeded 16,500 vehicles with a record fleet market share of 2.3%.
Skoda Brand Director Robert Hazelwood commented: "I'd like to thank everyone for making September such an amazing month. Everyone in the network and at our head office in Milton Keynes has done an amazing job to push us ahead of our Simply Grow targets. The challenge now is to keep that momentum going right through to the end of December, to turn a record month into a record year."
