The new Skoda Rapid will be priced from £12,900 for the entry-level Rapid S1.2-litre 75PS, when it goes on sale on the 12th November 2012. The flag ship Rapid Elegance 1.6 TDI CR 105PS will be priced at £17,850.
The Skoda Rapid is powered by a choice of four petrol engines or one diesel at the launch, mated to five or six-speed manual transmissions or a seven-speed automatic DSG.
The Skoda Rapid ‘S’ (£12,900 - £13,700) comes remote central locking, curtain airbags, daytime running lights, rake/reach-adjustable steering wheel, height-adjustable driver’s seat and electric front windows. There is a choice of either a 1.2 75PS or 1.2 TSI 86PS.
The Rapid SE (£14,650 - £17,100) adds 15-inch alloy wheels, body coloured door mirrors and handles, air-conditioning, Maxi-dot trip computer, MDI (Multi Device Interface), a leather steering wheel and Bluetooth connectivity. The engine choice on the petrol front - 1.2 TSI 86PS1.2 TSI 105PS1.4 TSI 122PS or the diesel 1.6 TDI CR 105PS DSG
And the range top Skoda Rapid Elegance (£16,100 - £17,850) models benefit from 16-inch alloys, cornering front fog lamps, cruise control, height-adjustable passenger seat, rear electric windows, chrome interior detailing and a four spoke multi-functional steering wheel. The engine line-up is either a petrol 1.2 TSI 105PS or a diesel 1.6 TDI CR 105PS.
