Citygate Skoda in Colindale, northwest London, officially opened in style on 5th July 2010, as the newly created showroom played host to clients, prospects, Citygate staff and senior personnel from Skoda.
To mark the occasion, Robert Hazelwood, Brand Director of Skoda UK, welcomed the newly-appointed dealer to the Skoda family. Guests at the evening event perused the manufacturer's five model range, which included the multi-award winning Skoda Yeti and Skoda Superb Estate.
The introduction of Skoda is a natural progression for the dealer group, which shares the brand's innovative approach to business. Citygate Group currently operates nine sites across northwest London, Middlesex, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. It employs 330 staff spanning new and used car sales, servicing, bodyshop, commercial vans and corporate divisions.
Simon Bennett, Head of Marketing at Citygate Group, said: "Citygate in one guise or another has been working with the Volkswagen Group for over twenty years and when the opportunity arose for us to add a Skoda dealer outlet to the company, we felt it would not only strengthen our sales offering but be complementary.
"Skoda offers excellent engineering and value for money and the brand has many of the same values that we do. The launch event for the new showroom and aftersales facilities in Colindale was a great success and we were delighted to share the experience with key personnel from Skoda, including Robert Hazelwood."
Robert Hazelwood, Brand Director for Skoda UK, added: "Working with partners who identify with our high standards and offer excellent customer service and exemplary value for money is paramount to Skoda. Citygate has built an excellent reputation in northwest London and the Home Counties, and the opening of this new retailer in Colindale marks an exciting chapter for both businesses. We wish Citygate Skoda every success."
