Out of 28 car brands, Skoda has been placed joint third place with Jaguar in the annual UK Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study, carried out by J.D Power and Associates. In the last 18 years, Skoda has been placed inside the top ten each year.

Four factors - Vehicle quality and Reliability, Vehicle Appeal, Dealer Service Satisfaction and Ownership Costs - make up the study, whilst covering vehicles with an average two years of ownership.

17,000 UK drivers responded the independent survey. Skoda earned a score of 825 points out of a total of 1000, putting the company in joint third alongside Jaguar. The industry average score was 794.

The Skoda Octavia ranked number one in the Lower Medium car segment.

Senior Director of European Operations ar J.D Power and Associates, Brian Walters, commented: "Skoda's performance in 2011 strongly reflects the brand's focus on customer satisfaction and a desire to improve the key drivers of the ownership experience."

Skoda UK Brand Director Robert Hazelwood said: "Customer satisfaction awards are always some of the most important to us at Skoda because they reflect the hard work put in by our retailers across the country. This result is a tribute to their dedication."
