Renault Modus Maxim

Renault's Modus supermini, launched last year, continues to attract a growing band of fans to its special blend of cheeky looks and giant interior space wrapped up in a body style no longer than its Clio stablemate. With sales running ahead of target in the UK at over 10,000 since launch, two new special editions have been readied to capture sales in the big summer months - Modus Oasis and Modus Maxim - both with air conditioning as standard and are available to order now.

Diesel Car magazine Supermini of the Year 2005

Not only has Modus captured customer's hearts but it continues to attract rave reviews from the Press, most recently being voted Diesel Car Magazine's 2005 Supermini of the Year. The previous three years had seen Clio dCi 65, 80 and 100 respectively, win the Supermini award, but new Modus came and elbowed aside its stablemate borrowing its engines and wrapping them up in a stylish and spacious new bodyshell.

One of the judges Sue Baker commented "Cute looking and very practical with lots of space and versatility crammed into modest dimensions. Friendly to drive with its 1.5 litre 80 bhp common rail diesel engine."

Oasis or Maxim?

Modus Oasis is the perfect choice if you need plenty of room in your car but don’t want to break the bank, as it offers high levels of comfort and practicality all at a practical price as well! Based on the existing Expression trim, Modus Oasis is available in four engine choices, two petrol and two diesel and prices start from £10,100 for the petrol 1.2 16V 75, rising to £11,500 for the dCi 86 IF Euro IV.

Renault’s other Modus special edition, Maxim, is based on the popular and sporty Dynamique trim but has more than £1,100 worth of additional equipment! Available in a choice of six engines, three petrol and three diesel, prices for Modus Maxim start at £11,200 for the 1.4 16V 98 rising to £12,800 for the new engine Maxim dCi 106.
