It’s all change in Renault’s small car range with the introduction of the all-new third generation Clio, but for fans of the current Clio II a reduced range will remain on sale to be known as ‘Clio Campus’, priced under the New Clio.
Clio continues heritage…Production of the current Clio will continue at the Renault factory in Slovenia leaving the factories in France to produce the New Clio.
The Clio II range sees the revival of the Campus name, which was last seen in the 1990’s when the Renault 5 remained on sale at the launch of the first generation Clio.
Now Clio Campus will continue alongside New Clio for several years, providing stylish, practical comfort at an affordable price.
Clio Campus is available to order now in three-door only, starting from £7,895 rising to £9,495 a price reduction of over £300 compared to the previous equivalent versions. Whereas New Clio is a similar price to current Clio, with this reduction in price Renault can now offer a lower entry-level option.
Two versions, three Euro IV enginesClio Campus will be available in two versions – Clio Campus and Clio Campus Sport. The Clio Campus has a choice of the 1.2 60 petrol or 1.5 dCi 68 diesel, where as the Clio Campus Sport has the 1.2 16V 75 and 1.5 dCi 68. Each engine is fully Euro IV emission compliant.
The Campus versions share the same equipment specification as the previous special edition Clio’s they are based on, the Rush (Campus) and Extreme 4 (Campus Sport).
However as well as gaining Euro IV engines, the dCi engine available on both Campus and Campus Sport benefits from an increase in power from 65hp to 68hp.
Clio Campus - lower prices than beforeThe Clio Campus is priced at £7,895 for the 1.2 60 and £8,995 for the 1.5 dCi 68, down £305 and £205 compared to the Rush.
In addition to many core features including ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), driver and front passenger two stage auto adaptive airbags, height adjustable driver’s seat, height adjustable steering wheel and body coloured bumpers, Clio Campus comes with the following additional equipment as standard:
‘Astramix’ upholstery and door panel inserts, 30W RDS radio cassette with two speakers and fingertip remote controls, ‘Muscade’ dashboard inserts, 60: 40 split rear seat with three height adjustable headrests and 14" ‘Pixis’ wheel trims.

The Clio Campus Sport is priced at £8,595 for the 1.2 16V 75 and £9,495 for the 1.5 dCi 68, down £355 and £155 compared to the previous Extreme 4.
In addition to the core features, Clio Campus Sport has the following standard equipment:
Body coloured rear spoiler, body coloured door mirrors, front fog lamps, sports front seats, 30W RDS radio cassette with two speakers and fingertip remote control, multi-function trip computer, blue/ grey upholstery, satin chrome dashboard insert and interior door handles, leather gear knob with satin chrome insert, front sports seats, leather steering wheel, front fog lamps, front passenger map reading light, single folding rear seat, satin chrome instrument dial surrounds with grey/ blue border and 15" ‘Alium’ alloy wheels with steel spare.

The Clio Campus range is available in nine colours, three non-metallic – Pacific Blue, Capsicum Red and Glacier White - and six metallic - Ottoman Blue and Tempest (Campus Sport only), Mercury, Flame Red, Cyclone Blue and Pearl Black.
