The Renault Captur Signature (2014)

Renault have added a new model to Captur range, the new Signature edition joins the line-up as the top-of-the-range model priced from £17,495.

The Signature edition takes the specification of the Dynamique S MediaNav versions and tops it with a number of additions.

The exterior is distinguished with 17-inch Explore alloy wheels with black inserts. There are chrome exterior details on the side strips, boot lid, front grille and fog lights. A two-tone exterior finish is standard with optional Flame Red metallic paint is available.

The interior has part-leather seats, with Signature door sills and floor mats, you also gain the Red Touch Pack comprising bright red detail on the centre console, speakers and air vents.

On the tech front you have the R-Link infotainment system which includes a 7-inch touchscreen, satellite navigation (with EU mapping and TomTom LIVE traffic services), USB connectivity and an uprated 4 x 35W Arkamys radio with 3D sound. There is a rear parking camera with rear parking sensors.

Standard equipment includes electric folding door mirrors, automatic climate control, rear parking sensors, tinted rear windows and tailgate, Bluetooth connectivity and LED daytime running lights.

There is a choice of four engines, on the petrol front there is the 0.9-litre TCe 90 with a five-speed manual gearbox and a 1.2-litre TCe 120 with a six-speed, dual-clutch automatic gearbox. If you prefer diesel then you can opt for either the 1.5-litre dCi 90 with the option of manual and an automatic gearbox. The ENERGY dCi 90 eidtion of diesel is capable of 78.5 mpg with emissions of 95 g/km (NEDC figures), which means it is free from road tax (VED).
