Introducing The Renault Captur (2013)

The Captur is the new crossover from Renault and will be available to order from the 1st May 2013, arriving in the showrooms on the 1st July. The entry-level model starts at £12,495 for the Expression TCe 90 Stop&Start model and rises to £18,895 for the top of the range diesel dCi 90 Auto EDC Dynamique S Media Nav.

Renault market the Captur as having the style and driving position of an SUV, the cabin space and versatility of an MPV with the driving experience of a compact hatchback. It directly targeted at family owners with its practical interior, the rear seat bench slid forward, and including the storage area under its dual height boot floor. Depending on the configuration the 377 litre boot increases to 455 litres. With the rear seats folded it will swallow up to 1,235 litres of cargo. The reversible boot floor not only allows valuables to be hidden away from prying eyes, it’s also, carpeted on one side, with rubber on the other.

There is a choice of three engines, all turbocharged - there is all-new 1.2 TCe 120 EDC engine which joins the 0.9 TCe 90 and 1.5 dCi 90 units. The manual transmission models all feature Stop&Start as standard; there will be an EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) version of the dCi 90 later in 2013.

At the launch there will be four trim levels for the Renault Captur - -‘Expression’, ‘Expression+’, ‘Dynamique Media Nav’ and ‘Dynamique S Media Nav’.

Renault Captur Expression - £12,495 to £13,895

Standard Equipment includes 16” alloy wheels, 60/40 split and sliding rear seat bench, body coloured bumpers, cruise control, ECO mode (up to 10% fuel saving), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), ETC (Electronic Traction Control), front and rear electric windows, HSA (Hill Start Assist), speed limiter, trip computer.

Renault Captur Expression+ - £14,495 to £15,895

The Expression+ adds front fog lights, body coloured door mirrors and handles, hands-free key card plus climate control and auto lights/wipers.

Renault Captur Dynamique MediaNav - £14,995 to £17,395

The Dynamique cleverly comes with zipped seat covers which can be simply wiped or washed or even replaced perfect for a busy family and/or animal owner. It also adds the chrome Colour Pack (combining both Interior Touch and Exterior Gloss) covering the headlight surrounds and tailgate strip, plus centre console, air vent and gearlever gaiter surrounds among others. It also has cornering lights and a leather steering wheel (with gloss insert) and gear knob.

It also features MediaNav, an integrated multimedia tablet with seven-inch touchscreen, including Navteq Nav ‘n’ Go satellite navigation, 4x20W Arkamys radio, Bluetooth, USB and handsfree technology.

Renault Captur Dynamique S Media Nav - £16,495 to £18,895

The top of the range Dynamique S Media Nav adds electric folding door mirrors and rear parking sensors (City Pack) and heated front seats. There is a contrasting roof and door mirror colour, plus coloured Exterior Gloss and Interior Touch Packs plus extra tinted rear windows and 17” coloured Explore alloy wheels.

There is a large options list which includes R-Link system (including TomTom satellite navigation, 4x35W Arkamys 3D Sound) £450, reversing camera (Dynamique MediaNav and above) £350, City Pack, heated front seats (£250) and metallic paint £495 (including i.d. Arizona and Tahoe Blue £595).

There is a lot of customisation and packs that can be added to the Captur to make your car unique to you. The exterior colour scheme includes Arizona, Ivory, Tahoe Blue, Boston Blue (non-metallic), Diamond Black, Oyster Grey, Mercury Silver and Stone. A painted roof is available on its own up to Expression+ for £300.

The Renault Captur is protected by a four year/100,000 miles warranty; four year/48,000 miles free routine servicing, and four years roadside cover.
