The Renault Twizy and Fluence ZE will be at the annual TEDGlobal conference, with the Twizy on display at Edinburgh's International Conference Centre whilst the Renault Fluence ZE will be available for short test drives for conference delegates.
TED started in 1984 as a conference to bring together people from the worlds of Technology, Entertainment and Design. It is a non-profit organisation which is devoted to "Ideas Worth Spreading".
The Renault EVs will be debut later this year in Europe. The Renault Twizy is a two seater commuter with a 15kW AC motor with a top speed of 80km/h and a 100km range.
The Renault Fluence ZE (Zero Emission) is a full electric five seater saloon that allows for a fully automated battery pack swap in five minutes. The Renault Fluence recently won a 300km Inter City Challenge as part of the 2011 Challenge Bibendum rally. It is powered by a 70kW AC motor with a range of 185km and a top speed of 135km/h.
