A raft of New Year special offers across the entire Proton range brings value for money motoring within reach of the most budget-minded new car buyer as 2003 gets under way.

From free insurance and 0% finance to a package that includes free servicing and 0% finance or up to £1,500 cashback, Proton dealers throughout the UK are offering customers a truly flexible approach to buying a Satria, Wira or Impian model until 31st March this year.

Younger drivers in search of affordable performance are likely to find the offer of one year's free fully comprehensive insurance* and 0% finance on Proton's Lotus-developed Satria 1.8 GTi a tempting proposition.

The free insurance and 0% finance offer also applies to manual and automatic versions of the Satria 1.5 Sport. Alternatively, customers can opt for a £1,000 cashback on these models, making Proton's acclaimed hot hatch GTi with 132bhp twin cam 16 valve engine and Lotus ride and handling even more affordable.

Offering an inexpensive route to reliable, fully warranted motoring for first time new car buyers, the Satria 1.3 Li three-door hatchback at just £6,999 OTR is now available through a 0% finance offer over two years with 50% deposit, as is the Wira 1.3 Li four door and five door.

The recently introduced Satria 1.5 LXi, plus all 1.5 and 1.6 litre versions of the Wira and the range-topping Impian 1.6 and 1.6 X saloon are being offered until the end of March with either five years free RAC membership, 0% finance with payments spread over four years, three years free servicing with six year powertrain warranty and one year free road fund licence, or cashback bonuses of £1,000 on Wira models and £1,500 on the Impian.

"Our dealers tell us that new car buyers want a choice of added benefits, " says Simon Park, General Manager, Customer Acquisition, at Proton Cars (UK), "so we have responded with a really flexible approach that should appeal to everyone. Our range of cars is now even better value than ever."

* The free insurance offer is available to drivers aged 25 - 70. GTi and Satria Sport buyers under 25 years old will be offered subsidised insurance, provided they have held a driving licence for a minimum of two years. Offer excludes Northern Ireland.
