Proton Jumbuck

The trusty, hard working Jumbuck continues to impress motoring journalists with its looks, low cost and practicality.

The Jumbuck stands alone in its class in combining the practical features of a commercial vehicle with the comfort of a family car, with Lotus-developed suspension improving the ride and handling whether the 1.5 litre, 2-seater pick-up is laden or unladen.

Press reviews of the Jumbuck have been positive, with road test reviews focussing on the fun and driveability aspects of the vehicle, as well as the low price and high specifications.

John Fife from Professional Van & Light Truck Magazine said, "If you need a small pickup for light duties, then there really isn’t any alternative in the marketplace."

Ian Kerr who edits ‘Met on Wheels’, the motoring magazine for the Metropolitan Police Motor club said:

"After two weeks’ use of the Jumbuck I began wondering how I was going to cope without it. It had carried a variety of motorcycles to meetings and racetracks, been to the tip a few times and generally provided good all-round transport, it had just become invaluable. The only disadvantage I found was that everybody wanted to ask you about it, thanks to it’s impressive good looks, which slowed you down a bit. It is certainly more versatile and cheaper than a van and looks a lot better sitting on your drive."

Standard features of the Jumbuck include:
