Michelin has announced that its Pilot Sport tyre will be fitted as standard on the new Porsche 996 GT3.
The Pilot Sport was chosen for its total control of the contact surface whilst cornering, its exceptional grip in both wet and dry conditions, the unique precision of the information that it transmits to the driver and its consistent performance in different temperatures.
The Pilot Sport is based on Michelin's championship-winning motor sport tyre designs. It offers revolutionary handling and stability at all speeds, and reduces braking distances by up to 6 metres.
The sizes for the Pilot Sport tyre for the Porsche GT3 are: FRONT: 235/40 ZR18 REAR: 295/30 ZR 18.
