The New Porsche Panamera Turbo S

The new Porsche Panamera Turbo S offers a combination of performance and efficiency, driving dynamics and comfort. Featuring a 4.8 litre, V8 twin-turbocharged engine, delivering 550hp - an increase of 50hp over the Porsche Panamera Turbo.

The new Porsche Panamera Turbo S delivers a 0-62mph time of 3.8 seconds using the Launch Control function and a top speed of 191mph. Due to the Porsche Intelligent Performance technology, fuel consumption remains at the same level of the Porsche Panamera Turbo at 24.6mpg.

The enhanced performance is a result of improved turbochargers with titanium-aluminium turbine wheels and modified engine control management. The titanium-aluminium reduces the weight of the turbine and compressor wheel, resulting in a lower moment of inertia, and as such more responsive acceleration.

The Porsche Panamera Turbo S features Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), is an active roll stabilisation system, which boosts cornering stability enhancing driving dynamics and comfort. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) applies a variable torque split to the rear wheels which, in combination with an electronically controlled rear limited slip differential, ensures superior traction and therefore greater agility in every driving situation. The Sport Chrono Package Turbo, which tunes the suspension settings and engine controls, makes the car even more sporting when the additional “Sport Plus” button is pressed. Completing the dynamic enhancements is a sports exhaust system delivering a particularly emotive engine sound.

The Porsche Panamera Turbo S features 20-inch Turbo II alloy wheels, with increased rear axle track width, side skirts from the Porsche Exclusive range, and the bodywork colour-coordinated adaptive extending four-way rear spoiler fitted as standard. The interior features two-colour leather upholstery, in either black/cream or agate great/cream combinations available only for the new Porsche Panamera Turbo S, and will be available from the autumn.

The Porsche Panamera Turbo S will go on sale in June 2011 prices from £122,623. As standard, every Porsche Panamera Turbo S is fitted with a Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (VTS), a sophisticated vehicle security package approved to Thatcham Category 5 standard, and customers will also be able to explore the potential of their new car by participating in a complimentary course at the Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone.
