Porsche Hatfield

Porsche Cars Great Britain plans to open the largest Porsche Centre in the UK on a new site in Hatfield. Ground has already been broken on the 2.5 acre site and the new Centre, which will be operated by the Porsche Retail Group, is scheduled to open in September 2005. The freehold for the land has been purchased from Arlington Securities Limited on the Arlington Hatfield Business Park. The full address for the new site will be Porsche Centre Hatfield, 1 Hatfield Avenue, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 9UA.

The plans for the new Porsche Centre Hatfield will be based around a striking architectural structure, which will cover approximately 3,000 sq metres to create a 35 car showroom. The facility will be equipped with a 15-bay workshop and four customer handover bays for the collection of new and used vehicles. Visiting customers will benefit from access to a Porsche Direct Dialogue bay, where cars can be assessed and any necessary work highlighted and explained to the customer before it commences.

"The new site for Porsche Centre Hatfield will offer our customers an unparalleled experience, whether they are buying their first Porsche or having much-loved cars serviced or upgraded," commented Andy Goss, Managing Director, Porsche Cars Great Britain.

The new Porsche Centre Hatfield will also display items from the Porsche Design Driver’s Selection range in a showroom display from which customers can choose the latest accessories to complement their Porsche. The Porsche Tequipment range of personalised vehicle enhancement options will also be available to be ordered and fitted to new and used vehicles.

The current Hatfield site will remain operational until the new premises are ready in September. The existing staff (52) will all move to the new site. The increase in vehicle capacity will lead to the staff numbers increasing to approximately 60 in total; these positions are expected to be filled by staff already employed in the Porsche Retail Group.

The building development of Porsche Centre Hatfield will be managed by Arlington.
