Unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show the new Porsche Boxster has a completely new lightweight design body and completely revamped chassis. Larger wheels, new electro-mechanical power steering and a wider track further enhance the driving experience.
Both the Boxster and Boxster S are powered by flat-six engines with direct petrol injection. The 2.7 litre boxer engine delivers 265 hp, acceleration 0-62mph in 5.8 seconds & top speed of 164 mph. The 3.4-litre boxer engine in the Boxster S now delivers 315 hp, which is five hp more than before, acceleration 0-62 mph in 5.1 seconds & a top speed of 173 mph.
As well as increased performance the new Porsche Boxsters are up to 15 per cent more fuel-efficient - which in these times of spiraling fuel is most welcome.
An extensive range of options are available and include: choice of leather interiors, two further sound systems as an alternative to the CDR audio system, Bi-Xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Adaptive Sports Seats Plus, two-zone automatic climate control, electrically-operated folding exterior mirrors including welcome home lighting and parking assistant front and rear with TopView.
