Peugeot 206
206 SW and GTi 180 models produced only in the UK

The one-millionth Peugeot 206 to be built in Britain at the PSA Peugeot Citroen manufacturing plant in Coventry, rolled off the production line on the 18th February.

Since its launch in August 1998, the Peugeot 206 has gone from strength to strength. Its popularity with the UK car buying public has made the 206 one of the UK’s top sellers and the best selling retail car for the last three years, with over 443,884 models sold since its launch.

The Ryton plant in Coventry is one of the success stories of the PSA Peugeot Citroen group. Output continues to grow and the success of the plant was rewarded when it was selected as the only plant in Europe to produce both the 206 SW range and the exciting 206 GTi 180.

Ryton is the only car factory in Europe working a seven-day week on a four-shift basis. Production now stands at 750 cars per day with over 53% of UK production being exported to both right and left-hand drive markets.
