Peugeot Sport Official Owners Club Celebrates 20 Years Of Success

Peugeot 205 GTi

Peugeot Sport Official Owners Club is celebrating its 20th birthday this month. The club was founded in 1985 and has attracted over 16,000 members since its launch.

The club was initially founded by Peugeot Motor Company but for the last 17 years has been run independently by enthusiastic volunteers.

At launch the club was named after Peugeot’s original ‘pocket rocket’, the phenomenally successful 205 GTi. However, since the launch of a number of equally potent Peugeots whose owners have been keen to join the ranks of enthusiasts, the name was changed to Peugeot Sport Official Owners Club (PSOOC) to reflect the evolving membership.

Today members enjoy bi-monthly editions of Torque magazine which keep them up to date with club issues as well as Peugeot news. The group has regional and national meetings on a regular basis, allowing Peugeot enthusiasts from all around the UK and overseas to meet each other and share their passion.

The club’s most recent development has been its web based community which provides an archive of Peugeot information and articles as well as a forum where members can talk to one another; www.psooc.com has over 7500 registered users.

The Peugeot Sport Official Owners Club is open to all motoring enthusiasts especially owners of sporting Peugeots, or any Peugeot enthusiast. UK membership costs just £20 per year.
