As the slippery roads and darker mornings and evenings signal a potential greater risk of having a road accident, Peugeot is offering a complementary accident assistance service to all owners, taking away all the negotiations with recovery agents, repairers and insurers that can compound an already stressful experience.
In the event of an accident, Peugeot owners just need to make a single phone call to Peugeot Accident Assistance who will arrange for them to be recovered to their destination or home if need be. Peugeot Accident Assistance will also arrange for the car to be booked in at a Peugeot approved repairer, liaise with the insurance company and make sure all repairs are made to the manufacturer's standards.
Unlike many accident management companies who only provide free recovery and replacement cars to those drivers who can prove the accident was not their fault, Peugeot Accident Assistance will provide recovery and a replacement vehicle no matter where the fault lies.
Repairs arranged by Peugeot Accident Assistance will also protect owners from a hidden problem whereby repairs done with non-original equipment parts are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty in the event of later failure. This is increasingly common with insurer managed repairs because they are faced with huge price competition and the focus is on the cheapest repair.
Finally, once the car is repaired through Peugeot Accident Assistance, the repairer provides a full report to the dealer so they can recommend the best ongoing maintenance and servicing schedule.
Commenting on the service, David Higgins, Director - Parts & Service, Peugeot Motor Company, said: "When you drive a Peugeot, we want you to enjoy every aspect of the journey, but of course accidents do happen and the Winter is a particularly difficult time to drive, with icy roads and fading light. That's why we want to make sure all our customers know they can have a free helping hand at a distressing time."
